About Corey Parker, CFI, AGI, IRA

Corey's aviation journey began around the age of 10, when he took his first steps toward learning how to fly.

Aviation had always been a part of his family. On his father's side, multiple generations were involved in flying. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and several cousins all shared a connection to aviation in one form or another. Growing up, Corey spent countless hours listening to stories about flying airplanes, building airplanes, and the adventures that came with both.

Those stories sparked a passion at an early age. With the encouragement of his family, Corey began pursuing flight training while most kids his age were focused on entirely different hobbies.

His mother, sister, and brother supported his interest and helped arrange his first flight lesson, a moment that would ultimately shape the course of his life.

Not long after, Corey met family friend and mentor. Through their guidance, he was introduced not only to flying but also to aircraft maintenance, restoration, and the rich traditions of general aviation. What began as a mentorship quickly became an extended aviation family.

Over the years, Corey was fortunate to experience opportunities that many pilots only dream about, including flying to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in a Waco UKC, earning a tailwheel endorsement in a Piper J-3 Cub, learning how to maintain, repair, and restore aircraft, and spending time with pilots and mechanics whose aviation experience spanned decades.

These experiences provided far more than flight time. They instilled an appreciation for aviation history, craftsmanship, professionalism, and the responsibility that comes with being a pilot.

Today, Corey combines those lessons with his own training and experience as a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI).

His goal is not simply to help students pass a written exam or checkride, but to help them develop the knowledge, judgment, and confidence needed to become safe and capable pilots.

For Corey, aviation has always been more than a hobby or a career path, it's a lifelong passion that began with a family legacy, was shaped by incredible mentors, and continues today through teaching the next generation of pilots.
